Erratum: The seminar-workshop on writing proposals encompasses all forms
of scholarly work (including creative work, textbooks, etc), not just the
traditional modes of research. Hence, it is a seminar on writing scholarly
work proposals.

*****************

To support the faculty in preparing their proposals for the Loyola Schools
Scholarly Work Faculty Grant and the University Research Council (URC)
Grant, a seminar-workshop on writing scholarly work proposals will be
conducted on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 4:30-6:30 pm, at the Social Science
Conference Rooms 3, 4 & 5. The specific focus of this year's workshop is
on developing conceptual/theoretical frameworks.

Separate but concurrent sessions will be held for faculty of the
Humanities, Social Sciences/Sciences, and Management, in order to address
the specific needs and concerns of faculty from each discipline. The
speakers/facilitators of these workshops will be announced shortly.

As the workshop is intended to be interactive and practical, participants
are expected to bring their working drafts (at least--but we hope more
than--the title!), preliminary references and materials, and their
questions of course! The facilitators have also requested (though do not
require) that soft copies of drafts be submitted by Wednesday, September
27, to facilitate the workshop process and activities. These may be
e-mailed to Dr. Liane Alampay at lpalampay at ateneo.edu.

If interested in participating, please contact Ms. Marla Andrada at the
VP's office (loc 5004) or Dr. Liane Alampay at the Psychology Department
(loc 5260-62).
