[Blueboard] National Book Awardees from ADMU

We congratulate the following members of the Ateneo community who have been honored by the Manila Critics' Circle at the 25th National Book Awards held last August 31, 2006:

 

Fernando N. Zialcita, PhD of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, whose book "Authentic though not Exotic" was named most outstanding Philippine book in the Social Sciences category;

 

Isabel Enriquez Kenny of the Department of Communications, whose book  "Making Documentaries in the Philippines" was named most outstanding Philippine book in the film and film criticism category;

 

Ramon E.S. Lerma, Ateneo Art Gallery Curator, editor of the book "Tanaw: Perspective on the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Painting Collection," which was given the Alfonso T. Ongpin Award for Best Book on Art, and which also received a Gintong Aklat award from the Book Development Association of the Philippines;

 

The Office for Mission and Identity and Organizational Development (OMIOD), publisher of the book "University Traditions: The Humanities Interviews," edited by Ramon Sunico and one of two books named the most outstanding in the Education category;

 

Esther M. Pacheco, former director of the Ateneo de Manila University Press and former Executive Director of the Ateneo Library for Women's Writings (ALIWW), who received a Lifetime Achievement Award.
