The Department of Information Systems and Computer Science is proud to
announce that the Ateneo team, consisting of

Neill Wilbert Li, 3CS
Michael Joseph Tan, 3CS

and coached by Dr. Pablo Manalastas

won first place at the UP Manila programming contest yesterday, January 26,
2006. Two problems were given, to be done in three hours. One involves
string-to-integer mapping using BigInteger. Another involves converting
phone numbers (alphanumeric) to standard form, and determining duplicate
numbers, by sorting or using hash tables.

The Ateneo team got 200 points out of 200. DLSU got 125 points to come in at
second place. UP Diliman is third place at 100 points.

For several years now, Ateneo has been first placer at the UP Manila
programming contest.

Congratulations to Mike, Neill, and Doc Manalastas!

We are very proud of you!
