ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE FOR SOCIAL CHANGE, a research institute based in the Ateneo de Manila University campus is in need of the following:

 

 

PROGRAMS IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER

 

Job Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, the position is responsible for the effective and efficient programs and implementation management and supervision of area managers and project heads.

 

Duties & Responsibilities
Program Management
Develop and implement management systems and provide oversight coordination and performance evaluation.

Monitor projects in relation to donor expectations and research standards and assist the executive director in identifying new developments, trends and linkages that will sustain or transform the programs.

Implementation
Ensure effective area and project management by providing direction, feedback and support while assuring outputs and impact.

Build management capacity of project staff and approve work plans and reports for submission to the executive director or donor agencies.

Provide integrated reports for presentation to management and recommend for approval staff deployment, training and engagement.

 

Qualifications
5 yrs. development experience

3 yrs. experience in program management & management of people

Experience working with communities

Ability to plan and manage budgets

Experience in strategic planning

Experience in networking with LGUs, NLA and partners

Willing to spend up to 50% of working time outside Manila on field visit

Preferably with Masters degree in  Science 

 

 

AREA MANAGER for MINDANAO

 

Job Summary
Reporting to the programs implementation manager, the position is responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of projects and the supervision of project heads/managers within the area in relation to donor commitment and institutional outcome.

 

Duties & Responsibilities
Together with project heads/ managers, plan and provide direction for the projects that will be carried out in the area.

Supervise the progress of all projects within the area and ascertain compliance to the work plan, coverage and/or limitation of the various projects within the area.

Ensure timely submission of project reports to management and to donors as required by the contracts.

Provide feedback, support and guidance in the implementation of the projects.

 

Qualifications
3 yrs. development experience

2 yrs. program management and management of people

Experience working with communities

Ability to manage budgets

Experience in networking with LGUs, NLA and partners

Willing to relocate to the assigned area in Mindanao

Preferably with Masters degree in Science 

 

 

 

FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION SUPERVISOR
 

Job Summary
Provide overall assistance and support to the Finance and Administration Head in all areas of personnel & administration and supervision over all financial and accounting functions.

 

Duties & Responsibilities
 

Administration
Document internal/external hiring of personnel and monitor & update employment contracts including project charging.

Prepare and submit of periodic reports on status of contracts for management decision and maintain personnel file and database.

Identify and assist in providing for the training needs of personnel.

 

Finance
Supervise all accounting functions and prepare specific financial reports, projections, budgets and other financial information for appropriate management decision.

Analyze project financial reports and ensure compliance to government regulations.

 

Qualifications
Female, between 25 to 30 yrs. old

CPA, with at least 3 yrs. experience in financial analysis, budgeting & financial reports

Proficient in Excel and other Windows-based applications.

Preferably with experience in HR/admin. work.

Excellent communication skills

 

FINANCE ASSISTANT

  

Job Summary
Reporting to the Finance & Administration Supervisor, the position has the responsibility of handling the institutional funds and processing disbursements. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities
In charge of the petty cash/revolving fund, payments, remittances and bank deposits.

Prepare disbursement vouchers together with supporting documents and ensure proper charging to expense accounts.

Prepare and schedule payment of bills, utilities, government-related liabilities and other expenses. 

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and updating of the books of accounts.

 

Qualifications
Female, 23 to 30 yrs. old

Accounting graduate, between 1 to 2 yrs. work experience

Proficient in Excel and other Windows-based applications.

Good communication skills
