SECURITY:  Lee Balila Ballano, a helper of a food supplier was seen inside the AMPC Cafeteria dinning area last Thursday, 10 August opening unattended student bags.  The suspect was taken to the Security Office for investigation.  No stolen item was found in his possession but he was banned on campus.

Lee Balila Ballano, 37 years old, resident of 166 Riverdale Subdivision, Parang, Marikina City.  Rightmost picture was taken of the suspect (in red shirt) a few days earlier  by undercover security personnel monitoring his movements inside the cafeteria.


TRAFFIC:  From May to 16 August, 10 LHTODA-White and 19  LPTODA-Green tricycles were suspended from 3 to 7 days for various infractions:

Complaints from passengers are entertained and acted on immediately.  All tricycles are required to display their rates.  Ateneo strictly observes Quezon City- mandated tricycle fares.  The community is reminded to note the tricycle color, body no. and details of the incident when reporting to the University Physical Plant office at local 4104 or when emailing complaints to uppa at admu.edu.ph .


TERMITES:  The Loyola Heights campus is termite country.  Termites were discovered in Xavier Hall's ceiling when drainage lines of air conditioning units were blocked by termite mounds.

Termite treatment at Xavier Hall will be done during long weekend from 19 to 21 August and the following Saturday, on 26 August.  All units are requested to check their facilities for termite infestation.


School units have fumigated their areas to eliminate dengue-carrying mosquitoes.  The Loyola Heights grounds maintenance contractor has also instituted measures to eliminate potential breeding areas of these mosquitoes.
