Where is the Land?

Urbanization has seen most land resources developed for infrastructure—leaving
farmers at a loss for these resources they need in order to survive.

The Institute on Church and Social Issues (ICSI), an organization and
community of professional researchers based at the Ateneo de Manila
University, presents an assessment of land use policy in the Philippines in
its fourth Occasional Paper. Titled “Towards a National Land Use Act,” the
paper articulates the need for the government to enact a policy which will
regulate land use activities and resolve conflicts.

Other occasional papers in the series discuss the state of working children,
CARP implementation, housing issues and migrant issues. The occasional papers
sell for P50 a copy.
