[Blueboard] "Mostly Mozart" Festival

The Interdisciplinary Studies Department,
in cooperation with the Dean's Office of the School of Humanities
and the Department of Modern Languages, invites you to

"Romantic Piano Concerto Journey,"

a concert-lecture by Ingrid Sala Santamaria and Reynaldo G. Reyes

on Monday, 7 August 2006, at the Escaler Hall, 4:30.

Admission is free.

Ingrid Sala Santamaria has a Doctor of Music, honoris causa [in italics],
from the De La Salle University.  She has performed extensively all over
the country and abroad.  Through the Salvador and Pilar Sala Foundation,
which she founded, she has trained numerous Cebuanos in music for
competitions and for the Cebu Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO), now the
Peace Philarmonic Philippines, "the only major orchestral organization in
the country outside of Manila."

Reynaldo G. Reyes studied music at the University of Santo Tomas and the
Paris Conservatoire.  He is based in Baltimore, Maryland, where he has
been training musicians.  Recipient of the Ten Outstanding Young Men for
music and named Musician of the Year by the University of the Philippies
in 1957, 1961, and 1965, he is considered an innovator in music
programming.  He visits the Philippines regularly to give masterclasses
and perform.
