2006 Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts


The Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts are presented each year to seniors
of the Loyola Schools who have done outstanding work in the arts.

The awards are intended to honor students' artistry as expressed in the
style and vision of outputs and achievements in the following categories:
creative writing (fiction, poetry & literary essay), visual arts, dance,
applied arts (including graphic design), music, screen arts, theater
arts,  photography.  Past awardees have become Palanca literary contest
winners, top placers in visual arts competitions, respected journalists,
and acclaimed professionals in the performing arts, to name a few.

Students in their senior year who wish to be considered for the awards are
invited to submit a portfolio representing a body of works over the last
four years, a duly accomplished personal data sheet and resumé to the
Office of the Dean of the School of Humanities (1/F De La Costa Hall).
Faculty members and administrators may also nominate students for the
awards in writing or via email.

The deadline for the submission of portfolios, nomination letters and data
sheets is on Wednesday, 23 November 2005,  5:00 p.m. Data Sheets and
instructions for submission may be obtained at the Office of the Dean of
