1st QUARTER STATUS REPORT

(Monday, 4 July 2005)

 

POWER:  The following power infrastructure improvements were completed in the first quarter:

 

  1.. Upgrading of the Grade School transformers from the 6 -100 KVA pole mounted to 1000 KVA pad mounted transformers.
  2.. Upgrading of the Grade School back-up generator from 125 KVA to 699 KVA.
  3.. Relocation of the Grade School old 125 KVA generator to David Hall.
  4.. Installation of the Katipunan grid 34.5 KV vacuum switch.
  5.. Replacement of 17 old Baranga grid wooden poles to concrete poles.
 

COMMUNICATION:   The following improvements were also made in the Loyola Heights PABX network:

 

  1.. Upgrading of the SDC telephone cable from 25 pairs to 50 pairs.
  2.. Upgrading of the Matteo Ricci Hall's telephone cable from 12 pairs Alphet cable to 50 pairs Jelly filled cable.
  3.. Installation of 50 pairs telephone cable from Xavier Hall PABX to College covered Courts.
 

WATER:  The first quarter potability tests were completed in June.  Replacement of the thirty-year-old MWCI 250 mm Ø asbestos concrete pipe with a 250 mm Ø PVC pipe was completed in April.  Twenty-seven water service line and water meters to the different complex in the Loyola Heights campus were also upgraded.

 

PARKING:  So the community can appreciate the parking situation in the Loyola Heights campus, the updated parking spaces for students, faculty, staff, visitors are shown below:

*Some 300 cars can be accommodated in front of the HS ITC but this area is used only during graduation.  

Moro Lorenzo Sports Complex has 93 parking slots for its clients.

 

Given the limited number of parking spaces, only vehicles with gate pass stickers will be given priority in parking space.

 

SECURITY:   Carelessness remains the major security problem.  Losses have been reported due to belongings left unattended.  Similarly, security continues to find unlocked vehicles while parked with valuables left inside.  Below is an example of vehicles left unlocked at two carparks:
