ABOUT THE LECTURE

With photographs from the John L. Silva Collection on display, John will
give a historical rendering of the discovery of photography, its early
uses, and its development into travel photography and eventually, fine
art images.


ABOUT THE ARTSPEAKER
--------------------

John L. Silva is the Senior Consultant for the National Museum and has
curated photography exhibitions in Spain, the United States and the
Philippines.  He is a contributing writer to various publications on
culture, the arts and history.
