The AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION in cooperation with the UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA cordially invites you to attend the fourth seminar in our Lecture Series, entitled "Managing Risk in International Business Operations". 


The seminar will be conducted by Dr. Chris Perryer, a professor from the Graduate School of Management (GSM) of the University of Western Australia (UWA). Chris specializes in organizational theory, international management, organisational behaviour, and human resource planning and development. He is the Director of the GSM's MBA Program in Manila, and teaches on the MBA program in the other offshore locations of Jakarta, Singapore and soon in Hong Kong.  


Chris holds a Doctor of Business Management from UWA and earned his MBA from Curtin University of Technology's Graduate School of Business where he taught as a sessional lecturer. He is also a recipient of the Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management from Griffith University in Queensland. 


Chris has extensive experience in research including journal articles on ethics, cross-cultural issues and textbook contributions and evaluated aspects of training transfer and customer orientation for his Doctoral thesis. He has presented papers on his research at conferences in Australia, Europe and the United States.


Chris has acquired over twenty years' experience as a manager in the private and public sectors, and has worked in Australia, Papua New Guinea and the United Kingdom.  He has undertaken consulting projects in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, including management development training for officers of the Singapore Armed Forces, and the design and facilitation of HR systems for the Fiji Employers' Federation.  


Chris is a member of the Australian Institute of Management and the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management.  His industry qualifications include workplace trainer and workplace assessor accreditation.  


Attending the free seminar will provide you with an increased understanding of the types of risks and their management in the operations of international organizations. You will also have the opportunity to discover how one of the top two Australian business schools is bringing its MBA program to the Philippines.
