Former Vice President and University Treasurer, Vice President for the Professional Schools, Dean of the Graduate School of Business, University Physical Plant Administrator, Project Officer for the Relocation of the Professional Schools (Ateneo de Manila University, 1965-1981); Trustee and Treasurer (Faura Research Center, Inc./PIPAC); Trustee/Chairman, Investment Committee (AIM); Member, Board of Directors (Association of Foundations, Inc.)

The interment has been scheduled for Wednesday, 31 August, in the NYK Province cemetery at Auriesville, New York, after the Jesuit community Mass at 11:30 a.m. (EDT)

The Philippine Province will offer a memorial Mass for Fr. Tom at 6:00 p.m. today, 31 August, at the Oratory of St. Ignatius, Loyola House of Studies.

Fr. Tom would have turned 75 on his birthday on October 1, 2005. He entered the Society on 7 September 1948 and was ordained a priest on 21 June 1961. He served for 16 uninterrupted years in various capacities in the Ateneo de Manila University.

His influence on the Ateneo has been extensive, whether through his various positions or thru so many services he helped organize and supervise. Much of the present strength of the University can be credited to his careful management of its financial, material and administrative resources. The CEAP schools, through his 12 years of service at the CEAP, has been a beneficiary of his generosity and service.

A memorial mass will be offered for the University community at a later time.

Your kind remembrances and prayers will be greatly appreciated. The Province Socius informs us that notes of condolences may be sent to Fr. Tom's sisters and brother: Mrs. Geraldine Ammering (146 S. Prospect Rd., Spencerport, New York 14559 (Tel: +1-585-352-6381; gammeril at rochester.rr.com); Ms. Margaret Fitzpatrick (384 Fox Run, Rochester, New York 14606; Tel: +1-585-247-3383; p2fitz at netzero.net) and Mr. Michael Fitzpatrick (5523 Haybridge Rd., Charlotte, NC 28269; Tel: +1 704-921-6813; mfitzpatrick at carolina.rr.com).
