[Blueboard] Invitation to workshop on Power Industry Reforms

The members of the Ateneo community are invited to the first of a series 
of information, education and communication (IEC) activities to make 
various stakeholders understand the rationale of the Electric Power 
Industry Reform Act of 2001 and the linkages of the Department of Energy 
and the Energy Regulatory Commission.  There will be a two-day program 
entitled "First Spark: Understanding Power Developments Reforms" to be 
held on August 10-11,2005 at the Audio-Visual Room,Social Development 
Complex, Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights, Quezon City.   The 
activity hopes to provide basic knowledge on power, evolvement of power 
development planning, rural power reform program and the role and 
responsibility of the participants under a restructured industry 
structure.  Likewise, the participants will be encouraged to express 
their comments and recommendations on the various power-related issues 
so the government may be able to address and respond to them 
accordingly.  Below is the program of activities.
