ICSI is an organization and community of researchers and advocates committed 
to faith that does justice, working in solidarity with the Church and 
responsive to the needs of the Filipino poor.  It undertakes professional 
research and publications premised on Catholic Social Teaching leading to 
systematic advocacy on issues affecting the urban poor, the children, the 
church and the environment. 
ICSI is now accepting applications for 

•	Develop and carry out a research agenda and work plan on the assigned 
policy area
•	Maintain regular links, advocate and lobby with POs, NGOs, Church 
personnel, media, academicians and other cause oriented groups in his/her 
assigned policy area
•	In consultation with NGOs and POs and the ICSI Director, identify 
issues to be advocated, groups to be organized and trained for their advocacy 
and lobbying efforts.
•	Monitor relevant legislation in Congress, policies and programs of the 
Executive Branch to assist the advocacy and lobbying efforts for particular 
•	Gather data and research on his/her assigned policy area
•	Mentor and guide the Research Assistants under his/her supervision
•	Ensure that ICSI analyses and proposals are disseminated and discussed 
for the benefit of his/her assigned policy area
•	Write for Intersect magazine and newspaper columns
•	Adequate research work experience 
•	Masters Degree in Economics, Psychology, Sociology or relevant MA for 
         RESEARCH ASSOCIATE Position 
•	Graduate Units in Economics, Psychology, Sociology or relevant MA 
units for the PROJECT
          OFFICER Position  
•	Strong commitment to the development of the marginalized.
•	Innovative, creative and has commitment to meet deadlines 
•	Has the ability to do advocacy and lobbying work with groups and 
people from various 
          socio-politico-economic backgrounds
•	Excellent analytical, writing and oral skills
•	Excellent interpersonal, organizational and supervisory skills
•	Knowledge in statistical software programs (SPSS etc.).
•	Knowledge in Microsoft, EXCEL, Powerpoint, Photo-shop, etc.
•	Letter of application
•	Curriculum vitae with 2X2 recent picture
•	Two (2) letters of recommendation, one of which should come from a 
former or present   
                      employer (except for fresh graduates)
•	A sample of applicant’s written work
•	Copy of official transcript of records
