          The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) invites you to attend the Asia-Pacific Conference on Higher Education Research on 18-20 August 2004 at the Manila Hotel.

          Theme:  "Promoting Synergy in Higher Education Research in the Asia-Pacific Region"

          The conference aims to provide a venue for bringing together researchers, policy makers and practitioners in higher education and serve as a forum for:

          -  sharing of research outputs on higher education among experts in the Asia-Pacific region;
          -  identifying strategies for developing research in higher education institutions (capability and culture); and
          -  identifying areas for multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional, multi-country collaborative research.

          The conference will feature plenary sessions and interest group meetings on:

          -  Higher Education Research Development
          -  Emerging Approaches to Financing of Higher Education Research
          -  Developing Research Cultures.

          Various educational exhibits will be on display.

          Call for Papers:  Participants who wish to present a paper should shubmit an abstract on or before 30 April 2004.  The abstract should not be more than 300 words and submitted in MS Word format to apcher at dlsu.edu.ph
