The win-win talks that was conducted by GMA and JDV collapsed last night as the
NPC block in Congress refused to withdraw their signatures from the motion of
impeachment filed against Chief Justice Davide.

Though there was a strong support for the Chief Justice, the opposition is
still bent in transmitting the impeachment complaint to the Senate today.

The Chief Justice has declared that if this is done, he will face his accusers
as he stands trial at the Senate.

What can we do?

1. Continue the Boycott campaign against San Miguel Corporation to pressure
Danding Cojuangco's NPC group to stand down.
2. Continue to wear black ribbons as a sign of protest.
2. Assemble at 2pm starting today, 28 October 2003, inside the Batasan Grounds
to put pressure on the Legislature to withdraw their motion. People are
requested to keep vigil until session for today is adjourned on 29 October 2003.
3. On Thursday, also at 2pm. There will be a rally at Ayala Avenue. The meeting
place is at the statue of Sen. Aquino.
4. On the likelihood that this crisis is protracted, please keep in touch by
sending your e-mail address to slb at admu.edu.ph. We will try to serve as
clearing house to coordinate our protest activities versus the unconstitutional
and malicious impeachment of Chief Justice Davide.
