The MANILA OBSERVATORY, a Jesuit institution engaged in         
scientific research, invites applicants for the following positions:


- Bachelor's Degree preferably in the fields of information technology, 
computer science or  computer engineering
- Knowledge in web development and maintenance is a must
- Keen interest in social, economic and environmental concerns  
- Proficient in oral and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and a team worker

- Plan and organize the web structure and resource materials of the Clean 
Development Mechanism (CDM) Project's website
- Develop a website maintenance program
- Maintain the CDM website and regularly update its resource materials e.g. CDM 
guidebook, primers, local and international CDM related materials
- Handle systems related activities and requirements of the CDM Project e.g. 
maintenance of the computer, update of programs, trouble shooting



- Bachelor's Degree in any of the following fields: Journalism, Development 
Communication, Communication Arts, Community Development, Environmental 
Planning, Environmental Science, Development Studies or other related fields
- Knowledge in program/project planning, scientific and policy research, and 
process documentation
- Excellent writing skills in English
- Good interpersonal skills and a team player
- Computer literate at least in MS Office - Word, Excel and Powerpoint


- Assist in the process documentation of the CDM Project's training activities 
and public briefings
- Assist in data gathering and processing
- Prepare business correspondence; arrange meetings and training venue and 
attend to travel needs of the Project
- Encode and package Project reports and other documents
- Provide secretariat support during public briefings and training sessions 
- Manage records and files of the Project and a range of communications --
 phone, email and facsimile messages
