This course introduces participants to the Capability Maturity Model (CMM), the most commonly accepted industry standard and metric for measurement of an organization's level of maturity to engineer, develop and deploy software from requirements management to implementation and maintenance.


The course will qualify participants to become assessment team members for SEI CMM Based Assessments (CBA-IPI) lead by the instructor.

Joselyn T. Capistrano is the first and so far the only SEI certified (CBA-IPI) Authorized Lead Assessor in the Philippines and one of the few Lead Assessors in Asia. She has almost nine (9) years of CMM Implementation experience where she has conducted three (3) CBA-IPI for CMM Levels 2 and 3, and has lead over ten (10) CMM baseline assessments around the globe. She has almost fourteen (14) years of software project management and software engineering experience at Citibank, ABN Amro, NCR, Headstrong and Interim Technology. 


On April 2002, Joselyn founded SQME Professionals, Inc., a full service process improvement firm that provides CMM services at all levels from Baseline Assessments to CMM Based Appraisal for Internal Improvement (CBA-IPI). She currently heads the organization guided by the vision to become the preferred process improvement organization known for its quality management expertise and its excellent process improvement program.
