[Blueboard] Support for Eagles of Hope Bazaar

RE: Support for Eagles of Hope Bazaar


The Office of Planning and Development and Alumni Affairs (OPDAA)
and the three parent groups of the Ateneo de Manila University:
AGSPAC- Grade School, PUSH- High School, and ASPAC- College are
jointly hosting the Eagles of Hope Christmas Bazaar. The bazaar
will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2002 (10:00 a.m. to 10:00
p.m.) and Sunday, December 1, 2002 (10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) at
the Ateneo de Manila High School Covered Courts. Proceeds from
the event will go to the projects of the different host groups
and a special fund for the benefit of Ateneo employees.

Some additional events that are being planned for the bazaar are
a Bingo hosted by ASPAC, sale of Ateneo merchandise c/o the
A-Shop, and special activities involving the participation of
members of the 2002 UAAP Champion Men’s Basketball Team. For the
latter, the players will be available during the two days for
autograph and photo sessions with the Ateneo community at the
bazaar venue. More details on the two events will follow.

ATENEO EMPLOYEES, THEIR SPOUSES, AND TWO (2) CHILDREN MAY ENTER
THE BAZAAR FREE OF CHARGE. CHILDREN BELOW 4 FEET TALL MAY ALSO
ENTER FOR FREE. All other individuals will need to purchase an
entrance ticket valued at PHP 40.00 each that can be used for
both days.

As much as possible, the host groups would like to
institutionalize the bazaar as a yearly event as well as the
special fund for the benefit of Ateneo employees. To ensure this,
the support of the bazaar by all Ateneo administration, faculty
and staff departments and groups is vital. Support will come
simply by all Ateneo employees and their families attending the
bazaar and/or selling entrance tickets to it.

In this regard, the OPDAA would like to call all faculty,
administration, and staff department and group heads to a special
meeting on Thursday, November 14, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. at the VP’s
Conference Room at the G/F of Xavier Hall at the Ateneo de Manila
College. The meeting will be a discussion of the special
financial benefits that will be made available to the groups and
individuals that support the Eagles of Hope Bazaar. To avoid
confusion, the personnel department will be producing a list of
recognized employee departments and groups in the school in the
next few days that will be sent via separate e-mail.
