The Ateneo Wellness Center—a Center that provides research, training and

line-up of workshops for the summer of 2002. These courses will be held at
AWC’s facilities in Alingal Hall, Ateneo de Manila University campus, Loyola
Heights, Quezon City, unless otherwise specified.

The Professional Enhancement Series: Playing for Real: Play Therapy for
Professionals Who Work with Children

This certificate workshop, to be conducted by the AWC play therapy team headed
by psychotherapist Tom Batalla, is intended for “helping professionals” who
want to expand their repertoire of interventions in helping children with
emotional/behavioral problems and developmental delays. They will receive
hands-on coaching and guidance during actual play therapy sessions. Detailed
processing of the therapeutic play session (“clinic-ing”) will be done after
each session in order to maximize participants’ learnings.

Number of participants will be limited to ten. Each participant may bring the
child he/she wants to interact with during the play therapy sessions.

Dates: April 16 (half-day), April 18, 23, 25, 30 and May 2 (whole day).
Workshop Fee: P6,000.00 per participant

The Professional Enhancement Series: Introducing Neuro-Linguistic Programming
(NLP)

This is a rare opportunity to learn about the revolutionary technology called
Neuro-Linguistic Programming that has fascinating yet practical applications in
the fields of psychology, education, business, and communication in general.

will help you achieve personal and professional excellence.

participants can access their creative inner child through the medium of terra-
cotta pottery. Basic hand-building techniques are taught in the first few
sessions after which the participants will be able to express themselves
freely, using pottery to deepen their understanding of the Self. It’s also
relaxing and lots of fun!

Parental Separation

can minimize/lessen the negative impact of parental separation on their
children.

discover what their children’s needs are and how can they respond appropriately
and in a proactive manner? These and other similar questions will be answered
and discussed in the group.
