 			           with Fil Delacruz

		                       Starbucks Coffee

			    on Wednesday 24 October
4:30 pm at the Print & Drawing Room

Following the successful launch of ArtSpeak last 19 September, renowned
printmaker Fil Delacruz continues the university art museum's series of
artist's talks by examining the intaglio printmaking process, and how this
technique applies to the context of his recurring themes.

Considered to be one of the prime movers of graphic art in the country,
Mr. Delacruz has received numerous citations from various national art
award-giving bodies, and has exhibited extensively both locally and
internationally. A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas and the Art
Students League in New York City, he is represented in "Unwrapping: New
Acquisitions of the Ateneo Art Gallery" by three original fine prints:
"Transmogrification", Grand Prize Winner at the 1982 AAP Annual Art
Competition, a lithograph, "Dilim at Liwanag" (2000), and three final
states, a study, and six preliminary copies of the mezzotint "Logger's
Haven" (1982). The exhibition is ongoing, and runs through 17 November.

Admission to ArtSpeak is free of charge. Prior booking is strongly
recommended as seats are limited.
